Kalanggaman ISLAND

Kalanggaman island used to be a bird sanctuary before it became a tourist spot. Langgam is "bird" in Bisayá (Cebuano); kalanggaman means "where the birds are." The island is an hour away by motorized outrigger boat (banca) from Palompon.

masaba falls

Visitors with enough time in mainland Palompon can try Masaba Falls river trekking – one of the popular local tourist destinations of Palompon, Leyte. There are around seven (7) “cascading” falls from the source. No technical experience is needed to get there. Trekking can be done within a day or can include an overnight.
